In this shoot I wanted to explore the sensuousness of fruit. At times they were simple accessories in poetic still lifes captures on film; at other times the fruit conveyed a lustful desire and latent sexual energy. As you can see here Christian really brought the eroticism of strawberries to life.
I will share more from this electric shoot, including with a pomegranate and pomegranate juice, but here are a few of my favourites with the strawberries.
The photos above were shot on Kodak Ultramax 400. I love how the film gives a warmth to Christian’s skin and an ethereal redness to the strawberries … and his lips.
The photos below were shot on Fuji Superia 200. We started out with a series of portraits before Christian got undressed to savour those strawberries properly. The portrait below is one of my favourites from the shoot.
Below Christian begins to taste the strawberries, his shirt undone, before getting undressed.
As Christian gets undressed you can begin to see some of his tattoos, ‘Die Young’ and a quote from The Little Prince.
